Why HoneyBook is the perfect client management tool for me

It was an exhausting process for me researching which CRM tool will be best for my business. I was first drawn to Dubsado based on all the amazing reviews but it just got very complicated for me after a while. This is when I gave Honeybook a try and realized it was the perfect one for my current business needs. In this post, I’m going to share with you why Honeybook works for me. 

What is Honeybook?

Honeybook is an all-in-one client management tool that lets you streamline your client experience. This helps you manage all your client and business needs from the inquiry stage, invoice to contracts. You can access Honeybook from their website or mobile app. It’s perfect for those with small businesses and won’t need the more advanced features that Dubsado offers.

Ability to Track & Manage Leads

With Honeybook once a client enters their information on my website I can track their process from there until I land the client. I can also immediately respond to clients with automation. Once a client inquires about more information within my service they are then sent an email with further information on how to proceed. Honeybook takes your clients through a series of steps until the project is completed. Making it much easier for me to know how far along each of my projects are. 

Automate my Work Flow & Create Templates

Administrative tasks within my business are not something I like to do each time. And sending the same emails over and over wasn’t cutting it for me anymore. With the ability to create templates for emails, brochures, proposals, contracts, questionnaires, and payment plans it’s so much easier to get these tasks completed in no time. Within Honeybook I can create custom automation to match your process to send emails automatically when a client inquires about my service. I can then follow up with questionnaires, or a scheduling link.

Scheduling Client Calls

Honeybook has made it easy for clients to schedule calls with me. The client can select from my available slotted days and times that works best for them. Honeybook will generate a zoom link for me and it will be shared with the client. With this, there is no back and forth between me and the client about which days and times work for both of us. 

Sell my Services – Contracts & Invoicing

Sending Proposals, Invoices, and Contracts within Honeybook has given more time to focus on other collaterals for the client. Updating these will take less than 15 mins for each client to set up and send off. Contracts are sent along with the invoice so the client can sign digitally. Reduces the number of emails that will be sent between me and the client. 

With the ability to create customized brochures I can send to potential customers so that get a full view of all the services that I’m offering. Honeybook also gives you the ability to create these brochures with your own branding aesthetics. 

Smooth Payment Processing

Honeybook makes it super easy for me to bill my clients and get paid in a reasonable timeframe and securely. My clients can also select which payment option works best for them either their credit card OR a direct deposit from their bank. Once I’ve signed on a new client, they are entered into payment automation where Honeybook will remain them when their upcoming payments are due, along with a link where they can make the payment.

Quick note, you can only set up Honeybook with your direct bank account information, you won’t be able to set it up with PayPal to receive payments. 

Tracks Valuable Information

Part of having this business is to understand where my numbers are. With Honeybook, every time I sign in I get to see the number of leads I have, how much money I’m making, and what my most referral source is at the current time.

With Honeybook I’m able to see the following:

  • Where my leads are from…
  • % of books I’ve received from those leads
  • My booking success rate, based on proposals I’ve sent
  • Any outstanding payments I have
