Stay Organized in your business with these few simple steps

Staying organized in your online business is important so that you don’t overwork and stress yourself out. It might seem like you have to do everything at once but you don’t really have to. In this post, I will be sharing with you some simple things you can do within your business to help you stay organized. Keep in mind these steps won’t work for everyone but you can take information from each and adjust it to your own.

Create a Schedule & Include Small Tasks

Even if you’re not a full-time business owner it’s still important that you create a schedule for your week. This way you can see what tasks need to be completed before a certain date. It’s also wise to have only 3-4 main tasks on your daily to-do list. Don’t overwhelm yourself by having a to-do list with 20+ tasks on there. What happens is that you’ll get frustrated and not finish anything on your to-do list because your list is so long.

Batch Content

I know a few people that don’t like batching their content but it will be a lifesaver especially if you’re also working a full-time job and working on your online business. Batching content also gives you more time to work on other aspects of your business. For me, I batch all my social media content, blog posts, and newsletter content.

You can batch different aspects within your business. Think about what takes you the most time to complete each day. If you can spend a weekend working on 2 months work of social media and blog content then you’ll have the other days to focus on improving other parts of your business or more time to work with your clients.

Use a Project Management System

Using a project management system will help you better organize your daily tasks. You will also get an overview of all your tasks whenever you sign on. I use ClickUp & Notion as my project/client manage management tools. ClickUp I use mainly for my clients and Notion I use for all of my planning for social media, blog posts, newsletters, and smaller tasks.

Create Workflows

This is where a client management tool such as HoneyBook or Dubsado would come in. If you’re working with a client have a workflow that will make your life so much easier. It eliminates the chances of you forgetting to implement certain tasks in your onboarding process. Setting up an efficient and effective workflow/automation for your clients will make the process easier for both the client and you.

These were a few simple ways you can stay organized in your business and not be overwhelmed with each aspect. If you’re a solopreneur or you’re working with a team these steps can be implemented into your business.
